Philanthropist at heart
Often, when someone wins the lottery, you hear about the car they're going to buy or the vacation they're going to take. But Carrie Edwards had something else in mind. She gave all of her $150,000 winnings to three of her favorite causes, saying, "I want this to be an example of how other people, when they're blessed, can bless other people." I like Carrie's attitude—when you're blessed with abundance, share it. We need more people like Carrie.

She described her winnings as a "divine windfall," and I bet she needed just mere moments to decide what she was going to do with it. Despite losing her husband just last year, she clearly sees the blessings in her life and takes joy in sharing them.
