For sure, there are red hats who hate immigrants, gays, trans, non-Christians, homeless, non-whites, women, Democrats—you name it, they hate it. There's not much that can be done about them.
But there are those red hats who don't hate any of those mentioned. They hate that they've been forgotten; that everyone else is getting attention while they have no jobs, no hospitals, little money to feed their families, and politicians don't bother coming to their town because they don't matter.
When we bring these folks to the table and give them a voice, I believe we can turn this hate around and discover that there's a lot of love out there to be shared among us all.
I fully agree with Slipstream, and I would add that the ideals nearly all Americans still hold sacred are deliberately being trampled on by those in charge who admit they want to destroy them. It's much like ISIS riding through Syria destroying every last one of its cultural heritage sites. The destruction is nothing more than a thrilling power grab. That's it. There will never be anything concrete or theoretical, let alone sacred, erected in their place.

I really appreciate your perspective thanks for sharing it. I was limping them all together…and now see that’s the wrong perspective.

There's a good video in this article that helps us get to know some of those who've been abandoned.

Your right.
What is greater to replace love? Agape love? God’s love? Absolutely nothing. ♥️

Thanks for the cartoon. Home is where the heart is and always will be. I love my American home despite the disagreements. Things will get better.

I 🙏🏼 you are right.
