Museum Is World Display

Photograph article partially reads:
"The Los Angeles County Museum has all the appearance and many of the features of a fashionable, rather staid university. But none of the pains. No tests. Or grades. Or required reading. But it does have the essential ingredient of a college or university - the tools that provide an avenue to learning. The museum's specialties include art, history, science and education. And the educational experience is open to persons of all ages. Unidentified female visitor views basement auto collection."

You must have loved this gig! Do you know what kind of car this is? I don't recognize the badge. I've never seen the contraption next to it, either. Looks like some sort of gasoline dispenser. Nice shot of automotive history!
