You're welcome! Yes, it's amazing how little exercise it takes to reap huge benefits. I have another story I'll be posting at some point in the future that you'll find really interesting I think about how much less women have to exercise than men to live longer.
This is very good news. What's fascinating is that most of us fell for the 10,000 step recommendation, using our Fitbits to track those steps religiously. We didn't ask for the science, we just bought it as truth. Well, that's the power of marketing!
Thanks for sharing this good news. Yesterday I would have complained about not getting enough exercise. But from today forward, that worry's no longer an issue.
You're very welcome. It's amazing to me how many things we accept as fact that turn out to be not true. I too bought into the 10,000 steps per day craze. It's just good to know you can reap many health benefits without putting in so much effort everyday.
I have many personal training clients who will be most interested in these positive statistics. 3,600 steps are far less daunting and more realistic compared to the "myth of 10,000."
I couldn't agree more. Many people get discouraged thinking they have to walk five miles a day to achieve any real benefit and that's just not true. Sure, if you're trying to lose weight or have some other specific goals in mind, you can ramp things up more of course. But people need to know that many amazing benefits can be realized with a lot less effort. I think many would be much more inclined to exercise if they were aware just how little effort it takes in order to derive certain benefits.

This is great news for those days I'm stuck behind my computer. All the tips in this segment were very helpful; thanks!
