The Grifter
It is possible that time and the laws have caught up with America’s most famous grifter. The sad thing is that as a country many still support him and want him to be President. I believe this is a result of the prejudice that has taken hold of this country. It is no longer a land of love your neighbor as yourself or do onto others as you would want it done onto it. Instead it’s a case of intolerance of others and of screw others as often as you can. Very sad

Slipstream
Everything in the news is so disturbing, and as you say, very sad. It seems everyone's fighting mad and more than happy to demonstrate their anger in whatever form they choose. Our politicians are the worst offenders. I pray they regain some sense of order and civility and begin to lead by example (sooner than later).
In the meantime, we, as individuals, can be examples and demonstrate love for our neighbors, not just those we know and like, but also those who look, sound, and worship differently and have different political views than we do.
Some of my family and I have differing views on a number of things, but our common ground is our love for each other, so I do believe it can be done.
Evangel
There is a loud minority of leaders who are fierce about driving this country down into a forced culture reversal to reinstitute an old hierarchy where men rule over the pluribus unum. Every effort is being made to dismantle laws that were enacted to advance the of rights women and minorities over the last half century. After promoting and advocating for these same rights in countries around the world, we are sadly on our way to becoming a repressive, third world, backward country.

It's so easy to be taken in by the country's collective anger and despair.
Identifying what lies within our "sphere of control" like our actions and mindsets, and actively leaning into the positive can potentially bring us peace and calm.
