If you join a city’s tribe, it does not automatically make them a member of your tribe.
If you want them to join your tribe, you can send them a postcard invitation by clicking the Send a Postcard icon in the left column on laptop, then select Build your Tribe and pick one of the four postcard invitations.
On mobile, scroll down the page and select the postcard icon, then select Build your Tribe and follow the laptop instructions.
You'll earn 20 kindreds for every postcard you send!
