What's Really Behind Sky-high Inflation?
There's a lot of noise right now coming from both sides of the political aisle about who's responsible for the brutal surge in the cost of living, also known as inflation. According to one expert, neither party is to blame. Instead, it boils down to forces beyond anyone's control.
No one planned on reliable egg-laying chickens dropping dead from bird flu in countless numbers, or a sudden demand for webcams thanks to the Covid pandemic. Nor did anyone, Putin aside, plan for the war in Ukraine which sent oil prices through the roof. And who but a psychic could have forecast a sudden clamoring for airline tickets post Covid, or predicted a massive bottleneck in our supply chain?
