What Can We Learn From A 102-Year-Old Trailblazer?
Earlier this month, on May 3, Deborah Szekely turned 102. For her, it was just another day in which to express gratitude for all the good things in her life. While she admits she’s privileged to live as long as she has, age is just a factor in her life and not a reason to consider retirement.
If anyone has lived life to the full, it is Szekely, who two years ago accepted no gifts on her centenarian birthday and instead launched “Our Green Umbrella” initiative, a tree-planting campaign to create a giant green umbrella to beautify and cool the community of Tecate, Mexico, where she runs Rancho La Puerta, a wellness retreat center named a top destination spa by Condé Nast Traveler magazine. As if that wasn't enough for one day, Szekely also released a book of aphorisms and wisdom that day entitled “100 Lessons from a Grasshopper” whose sales would help fund the initiative.
What are the secrets that keep this trailblazer and philanthropist feeling young, vital, and determined to impact the world? Read the conversation here in Medium.https://medium.com/authority-magazine/what-it-takes-to-reach-100-with-ce...

Mrs. Szekely brings a whole new meaning to "a life well lived," and she's still raring to go.
There were few forward-thinking visionaries who embraced and promoted concepts like health, wellness, and natural living decades ago. Those who did were often ridiculed.
Thank you for sharing such an inspiring story from a woman who thrives on sharing wisdom and making life better for others.

And what a trailblazer she is; this woman is something else! I loved her "lifestyle rituals and beliefs." So much wisdom packed into those "tips." Thanks so much for honoring her.
