Oops. How did I not know this?
It’s the old story of buying a pig in a poke. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. This is why Americans across the country are waking up to some unexpected, unsettling news.
In their panic, they’re reaching out on social media for help and clarification, wondering: Is it true the guy I just voted for is actually going to do this…or this…or this? Rattled, they ask another question before comments roll in to the first: Where is that going to leave me and my family?
Every day, Americans buy used cars without looking under the hood and end up with a clunker. Every day, someone ends up in a motel room that looks nothing like the brochure only to go home with uninvited bed bugs. Elections are different. You can’t switch your vote, trade it in, or sue anyone for selling you a lemon.
In this 2024 election, your vote truly mattered. It always does. But for these Trump voters, buyers remorse is creeping in with the new reality looking more like the beginning of a nightmare.
