One Executive Order May Win Trump A Nobel Prize

Trump has long had his heart set on winning the Nobel Peace Prize. He’s made no secret about it. But despite his claims of being a global peacemaker, he has yet to end the war in Ukraine or Gaza.
Harsh realities aside, Trump now knows some world leaders have no interest in bowing to him. Some don’t want those wars to end. But, maybe, he can embrace another pathway to winning that coveted prize with no bullying necessary.
What if all it takes is a good faith effort on his part to prevent a nuclear war?
John Mecklin, editor-in-chief of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, believes Trump could become a global hero—and even, potentially, make his wildest dream come true by issuing an executive order to adopt the ‘two-person rule’ for nuclear weapons use.
How does the ‘two-person rule’ work? Read John Menkin’s full opinion in The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.

I'm all for an executive order that mandates a permanent 'two-person rule' without any chance of revocation. But it's a huge stretch to imagine the Nobel Prize Committee ever awarding this prize to a petty dictator.

It's a great idea, but we have to remember that he's the guy who said, "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters, OK?" And certainly there's no one in "his" government who will say no to him because they love him or they fear retribution. They're all "yes" people, so whatever he says goes, and there's no one that can stop him. Not Congress, not the courts, not the military, no one, and it's frightening.

The ambitions of others will stop him. His own Vice President stands the most to gain. He acts with his own authority, and I believe it's just a matter of time before he betrays him. It's possible this has been planned since German-born Peter Theil took JD Vance under his wing and pushed him into the roll of VP.
