Tonight, President Trump chose to betray our trust once more with a cascade of new lies in order to undermine our confidence in the electoral process. Why, would he want to do such a thing?
The answer lies in what he told an audience of supporters recently, "You gotta win the midterms, because if we don't win the midterms, they'll find a reason to impeach me." It was all about him. It was not about protecting you or the nation. It was about protecting himself.
The truth is factual. Lies are manipulative. As a nation, we must restore the truth, be vigilant to the lies, and hold ourselves and others accountable. Ask the hard questions. Seek out reliable information. Insist on honesty from everyone in your life, including the president.

Before reading this, I had never thought of the president as a doctor charged with caring for the country and with keeping it healthy, but that's essentially what it is.
Musician and author Henry Rollins released a song called "Liar." In the outro, Rollins says, "I'll lie again and again, and I'll keep lying. I promise."
This would have been the most authentic campaign slogan for DJT's campaign, as he is the undisputed champion of "lyingist presidents."
In an interview, David Brooks of The Atlantic said he believes Americans have grown weary of the chaos wrought by this administration and predicts voters will insist on a return to sanity. However, his comments were made before Trump's "we can't trust our elections" speech this week.
Mr. Brooks believes wholeheartedly that the Democratic Experiment will prevail and normalcy will return. We all hope he's right.

Many MAGA people are finally starting to see that Trump only cares about himself. They now know they were hoodwinked from the start. Sadly, they forgot the old saying: if it's too good to be true, it probably is. And the best part is, many are joining in with independents and democrats to fight back against demonic detention centers in their backyards or being pushed out of their homes to make room for AI data centers...and the list goes on.

Interesting and informative post. I have experienced being lied to by several Western medicine doctors over the years. Today I have a healthy distrust of them and use holistic medicine when possible. Just like I have developed a healthy distrust of the words uttered by Mr. Trump.
There is a huge chasm between my being able to manage my health care choices which I do effectively and my ability to oust the president. My voice and my vote are the choices I have and that is something. I am a huge fan of David Brooks and sincerely join Well Street in hoping his belief is accurate for all our sakes.
