Notable Quotable: Erez Reuveni on Honor

News Flash

We spend more on defense than any other country in the world—more than the next 9 top military spenders combined, including China. And yet, we appear to be increasingly defenseless against those internal enemies who dismiss the rule of law and attempt to implement their own rules in its place without consequence.

Erez Reuveni’s story should alarm every American who still believes in democracy and teach us all what true patriotism sounds like.

If any of the 100 Venezuelans deported were hardened, violent criminals, none of us would be sorry to see them go. If given their day in court, it seems unlikely their fight to stay in the US would be successful, making the Alien Enemies Act unnecessary.
It seems like this was less about deporting illegal immigrants and more a dress rehearsal for how the government will ignore judges' rulings and get away with it.

Mr. Reuveni could have chosen loyalty to the president's agenda and been rewarded with a comfortable life. Instead, he's willing to make enemies of some powerful people by choosing loyalty to the Constitution. I pray for his well-being.
