“Republicans really blew it by going this way, just this crass, crude, vulgar, kind of language in some of these ads, and referring to every Democrat as a communist or socialist. I think people just didn't buy it, and nor should they.” 

“So I think Republicans are gonna have to get back to governing. And I think what we should be learning, I hope, we've learned that anger and grievance are not a governing philosophy. You actually have to govern. And I would look and ask my, you know, conservative friends, what have we got out of this MAGA movement? Certainly not conservative policy. We added 12 trillion in debt just in the two terms of the Trump administration. Our trade alliances are in tatters. Our allies aren’t trusting us. So we've got to make some real moves here.”
