Just In: Cultural Traditions Heal Indigenous Kids

For generations, Indigenous and First Nations populations have been uprooted and torn apart in countries like Canada, Australia, US, Norway, and Indonesia through government-mandated colonization and assimilation policies.

While many of us are aware of the tragic outcomes of such policies, less is known about new programs aimed at lifting indigenous youth out of the cycle of trauma and reconnecting them with their cultural heritage, traditions, and community.

Research was conducted to determine the impact of such programs, and the results are now published here in Greater Good.
