Jon Waldman Is a True Liberator
Every so often, a story hits the news that grabs you. The story of Jon Waldman is the story of a true liberator who courageously did something unheard of and counterintuitive to today’s “profit is king” business mentality.
Instead of doubling down like most gun dealers against political threats of gun control, John Waldman, a gun store owner in Duluth, Georgia, made the decision to follow his moral conscience and close up his gun shop to avert the possibility of one of his guns ending up in the hands of a mass shooter.
It was a difficult choice to shutter his business, but Jon Waldman was tired of laying awake at night worrying over children being killed by a gun he sold. Valuing a person’s life over profits distinguishes Jon Waldman as an honorable, conscientious citizen and selfless liberator. His courage and example reflect a more sensible view of social responsibility and accountability, and offer other gun shop owners a more enlightened perspective on the power they possess to be servants of the community rather than just profiteers.

This guy has a brain and a conscience, and he's using both. I hope more gun shops wise up and do the same. Thank you Jon!

What a courageous move to listen to his conscience and shut down his business. I assume he could have stopped selling assault rifles and military weapons, but he clearly felt that wasn't enough.
It's encouraging to see someone in his position who doesn't place the "sanctity" of the Second Amendment over the lives of children.
