You’re never too old to make a wish come true. For Dorothy Hoffner, the wish was to break the Guinness World Record for oldest skydiver. At age 104, Ms. Hoffner, who believes that age is just a number, made her wish come true after setting aside her walker and climbing into a Skyvan.

I have all the respect in the world for her. Jumping out of a plane feels like a bridge too far for me, but never say never.


I agree with you, something I could never, ever do. I admire her grit, but it's certainly not on MY bucket list.


Sadly, Dorothy's earthly adventures have ended as the Associated Press reported that she passed away in her sleep on Monday, October 9. She lived life to its fullest every day; something we all should do. Enjoy your celestial adventure, Dorothy!
