Celebrate National Day on Writing
Today is National Day on Writing. So to celebrate, we’re featuring some of our favorite written pieces by Youtropolis city founders. We selected our choices based on the message each author offered. Did it uplift? Did it inform? Did it inspire? Did it move us to think? Can it be applied to our own life?
In our view, good writing is more than sharing one’s opinion. It’s a personal truth earned through experience. The best writers courageously open their heart, giving readers a glimpse into their own unique experience through a lesson learned, a wish they hope will come to fruition, or a pledge to change a condition in their life or community.
Faith and Optimism, written by Well Street, gives us a lesson learned that gets us to think about our own internal chatter.
In a poignant wish and call to action, The End of Discord by Evangel, reminds us we can all be heroes if we move collectively to avert the end of democracy.
Two pledges that were short but honest to the core were Listening, really listening… by Sanatana, and Live drama-free by Slipstream.
If you would like to write your own pledge, wish, or lesson learned, sign up or log in and start writing! We’re always looking to feature meaningful stories by new writers.
All our best, and happy National Day on Writing!
