The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences established the second Saturday of Feburary to celebrate Global Movie Day. The day is celebrated during Oscar season to give movie buffs a special day in which to come together to view and discuss favorite movies.

We're bringing people together by featuring ‘Home’—a short animation by Anita Bruvere that beautifully captures a true story of community, immigration, and diversity, told through the history of a single building.

Enjoy the film and share your thoughts. It will be available to view here through the end of February.

This film is a masterpiece of creativity and truth. The film's creator is an amazing talent.

Also, it's fitting that the home to so many diverse immigrant families is now a museum of immigration and diversity.

Thanks for finding this film; I really enjoyed it.

So creative! The editing and sound design are spectacular.

I agree that the building becoming a museum celebrating diversity and the immigrant spirit is fitting.
