National Call a Friend Day

Before emails and text messages, there were phone calls to loved ones and friends. Over time, the telephone gave way to instant messaging, Facebook, and eventually quick emojis. Although everyone loves speed and convenience, little by little, people started to feel more disconnected despite all the new social tools. This is why in the U.S. December 28 was deemed National Call a Friend Day.
