Today my liberation action was to post an event. I've never done this before but here I go. I liked today's quote that went with it and thought it would be interesting to ask folks to share one of their favorite quotes. So that's my event...share a quote instead of make a comment. Thanks. Looking forward to your participation

WG: What's your favorite quote?

Present Valley

What a brilliant idea!!!!

I have a small book of favorite quotes...it was so hard to settle on just one...but I did...

"I do not at all understand the mystery of grace...only that she meets us where we are but doesn't leave us where she found us." Anne Lamotte

Well Street

I'm hard-pressed to come up with a favorite, but one spoken recently by vice-presidential nominee Tim Walz hits the mark.

“They saw in me what I had hoped to instill in them: a commitment to the common good, an understanding that we’re all in this together, and the belief that a single person can make a real difference for their neighbors.”

"We have, I fear, confused power with greatness.” – Stewart L. Udall

“If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.” – Dalai Lama

Homeless Valley

What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

—Robert Reich

Wilsons Grave

Hey, I was tickled pink with the response of you all! Now that this event is over, I'll have to think of another fun gathering. But first I thank you all for your participating and very thoughtful quotes. Wow. Most I was unaware of so I learned something, too, and I can't disagree with anything here. I especially relate to the quote furnished by Present Valley by A. Lamotte. Grace never leaves us where she found us. Yes, truth speaks loud here.

Now to answer Ninniburough's question about my own favorite quote. It comes from the book "The Brothers Karamazov" by author Fyodor Dostoyevsky:

"There is no sin and there can be no sin on all the earth, which the Lord will not forgive to the truly repentant! Man cannot commit a sin so great as to exhaust the infinite love of God.
