You've hit the nail on the head with this topic. Worrying about others' opinions, and trying to fix people and make them happier are surefire ways to ramp up our stress levels, especially if those tendencies are never resolved and let go of.
I imagine the most damage is done to those whose perceived value and self-acceptance hinge on being a "fixer" of others' problems, happiness, etc.
