The Side-effects of Wishing!
“When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you..."
I think most of you have heard the popular Disney song. As a matter of fact, it’s always been one of my favorites.
But in thinking about wishing and the lyrics of that song, I started to wonder about the act of wishing.
Does wishing really make your dreams come true? Or is wishing simply a way of filling in the gap for actually doing something?
You can wish. Wish every day. You can sing, you can dream, and maybe fate will step in and see you through.
But more than likely, wishing alone will leave you hanging.
Wish. Go ahead. But then, start taking the actions to make those wishes turn into reality.
You can wish away your life if you do nothing. And your tombstone will read:
“He wished. He wished hard, closed his eyes and everything. But in the end, the wish remained a wish.”
So, if you want to wish upon a star, go for it. But it does make a difference who you are. If you wish, sigh, and go about your business, that’s where the wish will end. But, if you wish, then take the next call to action . . . now you’ve got something brewing—something exciting and full of potential.

I agree. Sometimes you have to wait for the right time for the action, but action is usually required.

Sometimes people wish for something but literally don't know where to start or what actions to take to make it come about. That's why we created the Wishing Well. When someone posts their wish to the Wishing Well, others with know how or resources can step in and help them along the way to fulfilling it.

There's the common perception and trap that action will be taken when inspiration and motivation are felt. Yeah, that could be a long wait.
When motivation is present but knowing how to get started is unclear, the Wishing Well is a valuable resource to get the ball rolling.
