Bubble Blowers Face-off

Image caption:
Bruce Fossler, right, a 12-year-old champion bubble blower, shows Bobby Papenguth, 10, left, how an expert blows prize-winning bubbles, during a circus parade for youngsters at Burbank's Brace Canyon Park. Dick Papenguth, 11, center, isn't smiling at the bubbles. His grin is a result of winning first place in the costume contest. The circus was one of a series of weekly special events for youngsters at Burbank parks.

Great photo. Kids today might scoff at such a contest, at least initially, but once the first bubble was blown they'd likely put down their phones and get in on the fun.

I agree with Well Street. Trying something from the past might be the best fun to be had these days. Another great photo; thank you!
