Sunday Sound Bath: Hymn Of The Cherubim

We can forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light. — Unknown
Many of us are awash in the toxic viscosity of social division that sickens the spirit. Some days, there’s no reprieve from the truth that we are quickly sinking into a parallel universe where nothing is familiar except our families, friends, and fellow countrymen. The light is gone. Reality has disappeared. Truth is mangled, purposefully. Laws we depend on are shunned by our appointed leaders. For most of us, our conscience cannot rest because we know this darkness is not who we are. It’s not our humanity. It’s not love. It’s not America.
If you’re like me, you can’t just sit and do nothing. Your conscience won’t allow it. But you wonder if anything you do will make any difference. And yet, you know you must try, whatever form that effort takes, because our spirit demands it. It needs relief.
So, I pledge to bring you a bit of relief every Sunday through a few minutes of what I’ll call a Sunday sound bath—a cleansing of heart and soul through music.
Sacred music is a healer. Beyond its capacity to restore vitality at a cellular level, it lifts our spirit and shifts our mental dialog, helping us release negativity. It clarifies our mind and reassures us we are powerful. It connects us to the heavens and brings hope to our soul. It also purifies our heart and reminds us we are here to be agents of love.
Today, I’ve selected Tchaikovsky’s Hymn Of The Cherubim, a powerful choral work excerpted from the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom. Here, it is overlaid against a background of stunning interiors of Russian Orthodox cathedrals. Feel free, however, to listen with your eyes closed, visualizing the celestial sound flow peacefully through every chamber of your heart.
Thank you for listening!

The beauty of the music and the visuals felt like a warm blanket on a cold, very dark day. It was very soothing, and I felt safe. Thank you so much.

That's a great visual describing how the music felt to you. For me, there's an etherial quality that's truly magnificent. It always transports me to a higher plane. Thanks for your comment.

Ahhhh a special treat to listen to this hauntingly beautiful music as darkness replaced daylight.
Lighting a candle, closing my eyes and breathing in and out through my heart center created a "sound bath meditation" experience.
Thank you so much for taking the time to post this.

I watched the video while listening and appreciated the artistry and craftsmanship, thinking of the commitment and dedication of those who made the cathedral possible. No 3D printers or AI needed.
Thank you for posting.
