Trump's War Of Lies Is Now Our Way Of Life

Last week, Donald Trump held court with the press by staging a White House roundtable on “Antifa.”
By now, you probably know that the word “antifa” is a term that describes an anti-fascist ideology and non-violent movement of citizens opposed to fascism.
Characterizing “Antifa” as a violent “organized terrorist group,” Trump and right-wing media figures have set the stage for invoking the Insurrection Act. Since such a dramatic step requires a strong justification and public buy-in, they are making wild allegations, including against local leaders:
“You look at Portland and you see fires all over the place,” Trump said. “You see fights, I mean, just violence. It’s so crazy. And then you talk to the governor, and she acts like everything is totally normal. There’s nothing wrong. Are you waking up from a dream or something? You see it on your network, you see it all over the place, and it’s so bad. It’s so crazy. It’s like the movies you see for the kids, where you have these bombed-out cities and these bombed-out people.”
But talk to those leaders, and a very different story emerges. Here’s Oregon Governor Tina Kotek’s response to Fox 12 News:
“I met with Secretary Noem during her visit to stand up for Oregonians’ safety, deescalate the situation perpetuated by the Trump administration, and raise concerns about the aggressive tactics that federal officers are using against peaceful protesters such as tear gas and unprovoked physical force,” said Kotek. “It is clear from Secretary Noem’s continued false narrative about what’s happening in Portland that the Trump Administration has no interest in the facts, no interest in public safety, and that we cannot take them at their word. I support the Mayor’s decision to hold the line in response to the Trump Administration’s lies and aggressive tactics. I am calling on President Trump and his administration to focus on real problems, not made-up ones.”
Trump has a 4-point plan to achieve his goal of invoking the Insurrection Act, according to Robert Reich, who worked in the administrations of presidents Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter, and served as secretary of labor in the cabinet of President Bill Clinton from 1993 to 1997.
Watch his short video below to see how the plan unfolds, and hear what’s really happening in Portland from the police chief himself. Then decide who’s being violent, and who’s not. And, going forward, remember there are thousands of online “news” outlets echoing Trump’s narrative, operated by foreign adversaries who are helping him achieve his anti-American end goals. Misery, loves company.

Good information and advice. Stay peaceful and record, but don't let them see you recording. They're thugs and will delight in hurting you. Thanks for posting this.

We can only hope more heroes and heroines will stand up with the courage and conviction demonstrated by Phillis Wheatley and make a difference.

Protests are the bedrock of democracy. Nobody brought out troops when they were blowing up Planned Parenthood offices, and Trump claimed January 6 was a peaceful protest. I guess what's good for the goose isn't good for the gander.
