Trump Releases An Unexpected Stink Bomb!
Trump’s MAGA base recoiled in horror the other day when Trump justified his plan to import new immigrants based on Americans lacking “certain talents”. To clear the air, Scott Bessent, US secretary of the treasury, was quickly dispatched to Fox & Friends to assert the new, skilled talent would come to this country just to “train American workers and leave.” But that’s not how multi-nationalism works.
Consider the 300 South Korean workers detained in a September ICE raid at Georgia’s Hyundai electric vehicle battery plant. The detainees were mostly skilled engineers brought to the U.S. to assist in the plant’s construction. After ICE’s faux pas, the Koreans were released from detention and promptly returned to their skilled positions to continue their labors, not train unqualified, local workers.
And then there’s Qatar…now building a new air force facility at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. It will host Qatari F-15 jets and pilots for military training purposes. American talent need not apply for the job. In this case, we are not only importing foreign workers, we are training 169 members of Qatar’s military who Trump previously called “funders of terrorism.”
So, it’s in with the Qatari “terrorists” turned “skilled talent,” but out with all Mexicans who Trump lamentably still labels “rapists”—ironic, considering Trump is mentioned thousands of times in the Epstein files.
But what saddens me most is the approximate 6 million children under the age of 18 in the US who live with at least one undocumented family member. It’s bad enough for a young boy to grow up in America under the taint of being labeled a rapist, but to also worry over whether his father or mother will come home tonight is, in my opinion, a devastating and impossible load to bear.
Let’s try to listen to more youngsters like the one in this video. There are many in our country trying to survive such burdens. I’m curious if anyone has thoughts about how we can offer love and support to these heartbroken kids who deserve so much better from all of us.
