Shame! Shame! Shame!

First, Trump ordered the removal of all photos of Blacks, Latinos, and women from the official websites and photo archives of all military branches.

Now his administration is scrubbing any articles, bios, stories, or educational links that highlight Blacks, Latinos, and female veterans from Arlington National Cemetery’s website, including links to such Medal of Honor recipients. But this is not all. It has also removed entire lesson plans designed to educate Americans on the Civil War.

This brazen, despicable act of whitewashing American history, distorting it to favor white veterans, is a fascist assault on reality that must be loudly protested. Beyond this most vile form of censorship, this is also an assault on the dignity of our nation’s minority populations. Un-American to its core, it is reminiscent of the hateful lead-up to Nazi Germany’s attempt to erase all evidence of the Jewish population.

By the way...did you know that Harriet Tubman was the first woman of any race to serve in the U.S. military? Future generations of Americans will now be denied that truth. But Trump takes another victory lap in dismembering reality in his ignoble crusade against everything that has actually made America great.
