A Mindless Quest For Collective Euphoria
This is the most clear-minded commentary I've read so far on the Cornell 7, our deranged educational system that dismissed the victim and sided with the alleged perpetrators, and the criminal behavior that becomes grist for the power elite's corporate mill.

It's likely been since the inception of fraternities that pledges have become willing subjects to satisfy the sadistic affinities of the house "brothers." Who knows how many have been severely injured, died, or came close to death, in an effort to be deemed worthy of acceptance?
Not all fraternities participate in this behavior, nor do all incapacitate and rape partygoers. But those who do commit these crimes are joined in sin by faculty members who try to sweep incidents under the rug or administer slaps on the wrist, especially if the guilty are athletes who generate advertising and donor dollars for the school.
It's no surprise that calls to abolish all fraternities in the country are growing.

I agree. If we are to have a noble society, there is no room for frat houses that engage in such atrocious and criminal behavior. It's just a way to permanently stunt a man's maturity, wreck his moral conscience, and ruin his life.
