Political Cartoons From 1980s' Dustbin Of History
Nearly half a century has passed since award-winning political cartoonist Ed Gamble published these editorial cartoons in the Florida Times-Union. It's proof, for better or worse, that our corporate and political institutions continue to behave as they always have, despite the countless campaign promises over the decades to "drain the swamp."

Wow, these cartoons are brilliant. Then, I thought it couldn't get any worse, but now, I stand corrected.

I agree with you. It is worse. Nixon's attorney general went to jail for doing far less corrupt things than Trump, and the Republican party made Nixon resign. That's when there was still some morality and common sense on that side of the aisle.

Wow from the 1980's. This is so sad when I think about progress and how there has not been any...or it has been at a snail's pace.
I do love Maya Angelou's quote, "When we know better, we do better."
Not so much when we look at these cartoons.

Great cartoons. More proof that nothing's changed, and that's why people are frustrated and angry. No president has been willing or able to fix any of it. There' no making America great until citizens scream as loud about getting money out of politics as they do over detention centers being built in their community. We need a Constitutional amendment since the highest court just made it possible for even more money to be spent in elections to buy off candidates and keep the status quo intact.
