Incivility has consequences
This video explores how civility and incivility in the workplace not only affect the employee but also impact productivity and the bottom line.
Personally, I’ve had jobs I really liked where the atmosphere was positive, but I had one job where the boss berated and bullied certain people and even those who weren’t targets were negatively affected.
What’s your experience? Does your boss and team uplift you or are you pushed down?

Respect, equipoise, tact, and civility are not taught in schools. It's a lost art. So how can anyone understand their collective value when they grow up and enter the workforce? When kids are unruly in the classroom or duke it out the playground, police are often called in to manage the kerfuffle—but they are some of the worst bullies and offenders who end up traumatizing the troubled child further. Rekindling civility through education may be the best path forward to begin healing our nation's affliction with mental illness. I'd vote for it to be at the top of our national agenda. At the very least, programs such as the one created by this woman should be instituted widely in schools, colleges, and universities.

I agree education is important. Starting early in schools teaching kids how to resolve differences would be helpful. Also, teaching children how to encourage one another rather than poke fun and ridicule would certainly pay off later in the workplace.
