Determination leads to success and joy

District topic

When I first read Desiree Hill’s story, I was struck by her courage and drive. She didn’t just change careers, she rewrote her life. Six years ago, she was commuting three hours a day as a medical assistant, barely seeing her children and feeling drained by the emotional toll of working in oncology. Today, she owns a thriving auto repair shop that brings in over $70,000 a month, with hopes to top $1 million this year. With no prior experience, she taught herself how to fix cars through YouTube, flipped her first truck for a major profit, and never looked back.

Desiree's determination and trailblazer attitude turned a side hustle into a full-fledged business—and gave her back her time, joy, and sense of purpose. She’s now a business owner, mentor, and role model, showing what’s possible when we bet on ourselves and refuse to settle for less than a life we love.

Well Street

This is an incredible story. Being able to function on just 3 hours of sleep for 15 months would baffle sleep scientists, and being paid just $40,000 annually as an oncology medical assistant is criminal.

Thank you for sharing this story of grit and fortitude.
