You can create any type of personal event or universal event. If you're social distancing, consider posting inclusive, activity-oriented events in which others can participate or take action from wherever they are.
Your events can be group actions or acted on individually. They can celebrate anyone or anything, present or past, that matters most to you. Events can inspire collective community action. Events are always opportunities to refocus guests on the positive values we share in common.
So get creative. If your event is throughful, it will distinguish you. If it's popular, it may spur unity among diverse groups and help heal the divide. It will also add more fun, enrichment, and positivity into the world.
To post a public event:
- On your Home page, click Start something new
- Select Publicize a new city event
- If you want to notify your trade alliances of the event, click "Select your audience"
- Check the Trade Alliances checkbox
- Give your event a descriptive title
- Add tags for publicity
- Fill in the event description, date and time, and address
- Add images if desired
- Click Post
To make your event private:
- Private events will not be searchable on Youtropolis' Events page
- Fill out the event details
- Check the box Please don't publicize
- Click Post
You can create an event and limit it to just a select group of special people. To create an event by invitation only, you'll send a postcard invitation instead of posting the event. Postcards will be sent via email to just your invited guests, and the event will not post to your Younited Front page.
To send an invitation by postcard:
- From your city page Civic Center, click Send a postcard
- Select Greeting cards
- Click any postcard to preview it, or Click here to select to go directly to the greeting card form
- In the Recipients box, add each recipient's email address or Youtropolis city name, one per line
- Change the message subject by adding your own event title in its place
- Fill in the event details in the Message Content area
- Complete the form
- Click Submit
You can search for upcoming publicized events posted by other liberators that are open to all Youtropolis members. If the event has a limited audience, signups are taken on a first come, first served basis.
To find a special event in your local community and sign up:
- Click the Search icon above and select Events
- Enter your zip code in the zip code search box
- Scroll through the most recent events listed
- When you find the right event, click sign up, displayed beneath your chosen event teaser

- Enter tags to narrow your search by interests or select one from the tag box
- Enter your country and/or local zip code to narrow it by location
- Click the search arrow
- On the search results page, click sign up, displayed beneath your chosen event teaser
You can update or edit an event. The changes will appear on your original event post page but will not trigger a second notification to your audience.
To update or edit an existing event:

What do you want to change in your life? Sometimes it's as simple as wanting to feel more positive or connected to others. Sometimes the change seems difficult, like healing a broken friendship or breaking through a glass ceiling. But change is always possible, especially when you make a pledge and set your intention on actively pursuing the change with the support of others.
No matter what kind of change you want to make, someone can help. Making a pledge is an act of courage that demonstrates your capacity and willingness to change your life, or to support change in the lives of others in your community or around the world. Here are some simple examples of pledges:
- I pledge to stop smoking
- I pledge to stop bullying
- I pledge to volunteer on…
- I pledge to lower my carbon footprint
- I pledge to learn something new at the community college
- I pledge to give more compliments to others
- I pledge to teach others how to be water-wise
- I pledge to improve my golf swing
- I pledge to stop being impatient with others
- I pledge to help the Smith family during their challenging time
To make your pledge:
- From your City's Welcome page or Tribe page, select Start something new here
- Select your audience; check Trade Alliances and Futures Exchange to get sitewide support
- Give your pledge a meaningful title that draws interested supporters (e.g., to stop bullying, to make peace, to read more, to smile more, to overcome an obstacle, to resist temptation)
- Describe your pledge, giving others an idea of why this pledge matters to you
- You may add a web link or embed a video from YouTube or Vimeo to support your pledge
- Tag your pledge with descriptive words
- Upload a photo that support your pledge, if desired
- Click Post
If you've ever been faced with a tough decision, you know that indecision can be paralyzing. On the other hand, making rash decisions can potentially trigger unwanted outcomes.
- Tribal Wave eliminates the risk of flying by the seat of your pants, and can confirm if you should proceed with a deeply considered decision that you're wavering on.
- Tribal Wave's revolutionary intuition polling technology is designed to offer you prompt guidance on decision-making matters that are exclusive to you. This is why all polling questions are programmed to begin with "Should I…?" As a decision-making tool, it cannot predict your future, nor can it be used to ask questions for others.
- Once your poll has been submitted, respondents may receive a poll notification instantly or later, depending on the notification schedule they've chosen.
- You'll be notified once a minimum of 5 responses are in and tabulated, or you can select your preferred number of minimum responses on your poll form under the "More options" menu.
- Tribal Wave should never be used to diagnose or treat physical or psychological ailments. If you are facing such a situation, please seek the help of licensed professionals.
-
Tribal Wave is not a substitute for using common sense. It is simply a route to affirm by group intuition what you most likely already have intuited on your own.
If you're being dared or pressured to take an action but have concerns of its potential consequences, it means your own innate wisdom has kicked in to warn you to take a step back. Always pay attention to your own intuition first.
Though wisdom is always available to you, discerning it through the noise, demands, and pressures of others can be challenging. That's why respondents use their innate intuition rather than opinion to provide you with guidance.
Tribal Wave's group responses are tabulated to provide clarity with answers like "go for it", "caution", or "no way". Ultimately, you decide what to do based on the guidance you receive.
Below are some simple examples of questions people ask to help them make important decisions:
- Should I attend the frat house party?
- Should I quit my job?
- Should I give my boss unsolicited advice?
- Should I postpone my vacation?
- Should I find a new roommate?
- Should I accept his marriage proposal?
- Should I eat the whole box of pizza?
- Should I stay home and focus on studying tonight?
- Should I ask for a promotion at this time?
- Should I sell my guitar to pay for new tires?
- Should I become an exchange student and study abroad?
- Should I step up and volunteer at the senior center?
- Should I attempt to make amends with my friend?
To ask for insight:
- From you city welcome page or tribe page, click Start something new here to open your city hub
- Select Ask for insight
- On the form, click "Select your audience" and check Trade Alliances and The Universe to share your poll with a wider audience
- Enter your question in the "Should I" box, (questions must start with Should I)
- If you want to blindfold your poll, check the box "Blindfold this question"
- Add tags to make your poll easily searchable
- If your question is urgent and you need quick responses, check "Mark poll as urgent"
- Select More options to fine tune your poll's duration and initial delivery of results
- Click Post
Tribal Wave polling questions can be "blindfolded" to prevent respondents from seeing the nature of the decision you are confronting. Blindfolding your question forces respondents to use solely their intuition, blocking out their opinion, judgment, preference, or logic.
If you want to blindfold your polling question:
- Click "Select your audience" and check Trade Alliances and Universe to share your poll with a wider audience
- Enter your question in the Should I box (question must start with Should I)
- Check Blindfold this question
- If your question is urgent and you need quick responses, check "Mark poll as urgent"
- Select More options to fine tune your poll's duration and initial delivery of results
- Click Post
Intuition is the inner voice that lights your way to success. It’s your most valuable asset and your key to solving significant conflicts that interfere with success. Visible or blindfolded polls are genuine opportunities to sharpen your intuitive powers, problem-solve, and help others make wise decisions.
To answer a polling question, visible or blindfolded:
- Try to quiet your mind and focus on the question being asked
- Pay careful attention to the feeling or wisdom that surfaces. Is it a quick "go for it" or a strong “no way”—or something in between?
- Select the answer on the polling page that best matches the feeling you've received
- If it's a strong feeling, Add emphasis! by selecting a statement in the Add emphasis! column
- Click or tap Vote
- Enjoy voting, and don’t forget to vote on your own polls to see how your responses compare to other voters
Tribal Wave is not a diagnostic or predictive tool. It is designed solely for the purpose of helping you come to a decision through a concensus aggregated through your respondents' intuition, rather than opinion.
Please do not ask questions that pertain to diagnosing or treating physical or psychological ailments. If you are facing such a situation, please seek the help of licensed professionals.
Tribal Wave is not a substitute for using common sense. It is simply a route to affirm by group intuition what you most likely already have intuited on your own.
There are no limits to the number of polls you can conduct, or how often. But please keep in mind that excessive polling may cause tribe members to banish you.
Use polling wisely and thoughtfully to help you navigate through life's challenges. Your tribe is there to help you, and you are there to help them. Make it a win-win for everyone.
To wish is to be human. Who doesn't have a picture in their head of the one thing that could make their life a little brighter?
Whatever you wish for, if it's practical, there's likely someone who can help you fulfill it. Finding that person and connecting with them is the magic of Youtropolis' Wishing Well.
When you post a wish, you create good will by giving others the opportunity to bring their own knowledge, skill, talents, experience, or connections to the fore and into play to help grant your wish. In turn, through these collaborations, new bonds of trust and friendship are promoted, breaking down cultural barriers based on gender, race, age, religion, or nation.
Liberation is always an uprising into who we wish to be, how we wish to live, what we wish to have. Share your wishes with others, and may all your good wishes be granted!
When you post a wish, it will appear in your city's Wishing Well and on your Younited Front page by default. Notifications will be sent to all current tribe members.

Fulfilling a wish takes planning, action, and determination. If you are serious about achieving your aim, others will step in to help. Here are some basic rules that will help you fulfill your wishes:
1. Believe in yourself and in the good will of others. Ignore the naysayers and stick with your plan. If you don't get the support you need at first, be patient and take the next step below.
2. Discover what others have to give through their profile page. If someone offers something that will potentially help you achieve your goal, be sure to join their tribe and invite them to join yours. Birds of a feather should flock together.
3. Be someone who supports other liberators with their needs. Your philanthropy will prompt those you've helped to lend you a hand in return. Selflessness trumps selfishness every time.
4. Be open to any suggestion and any possibility.
5. Be thoughtful when people respond. You may receive many supportive comments, but when someone takes time to offer a valuable suggestion toward fulfilling your wish, consider giving kindreds in return in addition to replying to their comment. They will appreciate your acknowledgement.
6. Be truthful. Don't conjure to get sponsored. Abusing the good will of others through willful deception is illegal.
7. Be optimistic. People love to help optimists.
8. If you've launched a campaign on a funding site and would like your tribe's support, be sure to include a link to your funding page along with a description of your project.
When you fulfill a wish, let your tribe know! By successfully fulfilling your wish and sharing the story of how your wish was granted, others gain hope and insights into fulfilling their own wishes.
