Protect your security

As an open society, Youtropolis promotes meaningful, online collaborations with other city founders. Our highest priority is, and always will be, your personal security. That's why we're committed to promoting a safe and secure infrastructure, and creating a social environment where all of our members can safely maintain a strong sense of personal well-being.

The safety tips below are designed to protect your security and keep you safe when engaged in Youtropolis activities.
Safety tips to protect your security

Tip 1. Use good judgment.

As in any society, you should always welcome new friends with good judgment. Keep your antenna up. Be weary of those who promise you the world or sound too good to be true. Take time to get to know others. Check out their profile and Call to Action to learn more about their beliefs and commitments. Then learn about their pledges and wishes to see if there’s synergy and potential for a successful collaboration.

Tip 2. Exercise discretion.

Only share what’s important for others to know about you. Never divulge personal information about your comings and goings, or those of your family or friends, and never share your location or home address. Always use your intuition to decide if meeting another liberator in person is the right thing to do. If you decide to meet, invite others along and only meet in well-trafficked, public places.

Tip 3. Don’t give in.

Don’t allow others to pressure you into submitting to their whims, needs, or desires. If anyone attempts to persuade you to do something you are declining to do, stand firm. Don’t trust anyone who won’t take “no” for an answer. If they persist in pressuring you or start harassing you, demand that they stop, and take immediate steps to banish them from your tribe.

Tip 4. Exercise restraint.

Youtropolis engages members in a set of unique activities to promote meaningful collaborations. As an inclusive society, we welcome and value the exercise of free speech and healthy discourse. To ensure the safety of all our members, we don’t tolerate hate speech. If you become aware of, or are on the receiving end of hate speech or veiled threats, please exercise restraint and don’t respond in kind. Instead, contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
