If you want them to join your tribe, you can send them a postcard invitation by clicking the "Populate your tribe" icon in the left column on laptop, then pick one of the four postcard invitations.
On mobile, tap the 3-line menu on the right, tap "Populate your tribe," then pick your invitation.
You'll earn 20 kindreds for every postcard you send!
