Recently Ohio voted on an issue which affects individual Ohioans legislative rights. It did not pass. The Republican power grab was not successful and women’s rights have a chance. It was heart warming to have these result's. It marks hope for the future
I was very heartened to hear this news. The schemes to circumvent democracy and the tradition of "majority rules" is stunning and sad. But Ohio held strong. It's a good sign that the nation's up to the task of remaining vigilant in its ongoing commitment to preserve the rule of law versus a rule by king.

The dogmatic agenda of the politicians crafting these measures is mindboggling and Orwellian.
I agree with you that it is very encouraging and marks hope for the future.

This was a "Let's rig it so it works in our favor" issue, and voters slapped that down. NPR reported on the "no" victory: https://www.npr.org/2023/08/08/1191679261/ohio-election-results-issue1-a...
Congratulations Ohioans!
