I've heard these same complaints from older people who have to work with or manage Gen Zers. I saw an article by Deloitte entitled, "Understanding Gen Z in the Workplace."

When I got my first real job at 16, I guarantee you, no one tried to understand me in the workplace. I had to learn the program and get with the program to keep the job; end of story.

I think it's interesting some companies are conducting classes to teach their Gen Z employees skills that many of us take for granted.

Years ago, I read an article that companies were revamping their personal appearance policies to consider well-qualified applicants with visible tattoos and piercings.

With regard to personal appearance, I think that's especially true with tech companies. If you have the brains and skills, many couldn't care less how many tattoos or piercings you have.
