I heard someone say that doctors are imperfect, and that's why they have a medical "practice"—they don't know everything and are practicing their craft.
The FDA and the American Medical Association are practicing, too. As technology advances and more discoveries are made, there will be additional reversals of long-standing recommendations.
Going along the same track as Well Street, I think some of the medical "experts" are more like fashion consultants. It's in this year, but next year, it's definitely out, then it comes back again. Coffee's been good and bad for you so many times, that no one knows what it is now.

So true. Very similar to the whole glass of wine a day advice. Wine is good, wine is bad. It can be so confusing!
