JUST TWO SUGARY DRINKS A WEEK...

Can destroy your hard work in the gym when it comes to your cardiovascular health, according to a new study.

Most of these drinks don't use cane sugar, they use high-fructose corn syrup which is a whole lot worse than sugar. It's a lot cheaper for manufacturers so it's used in everything. Just try to find something that uses real can sugar. "Scarce as hen's teeth" as my grandma used to say.

And there's a whole lot of research on diet drinks being the absolute worst thing for our bodies. So your advice to stick to water is spot on. Thanks!

Of course, you're absolutely correct! The sugar used in most drinks is extremely unhealthy, so I suppose I shouldn't have been so stunned that only two a week can do so much damage--especially since the effects are likely cumulative. And your comment about artificial sweeteners is also on point. I know people who are particularly sensitive to such sweeteners and suffer immediate side effects from them. So yeah, if the research indicates they don't have a negative impact on cardiovascular health, there are certainly enough other reasons to avoid them. So I definitely agree with the lead author of this study and with you that good old H2O is best indeed. Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment as always!
