No surprises here, but there are plenty out there who still say, "I know what to do, I just don't do it."

Changing behaviors to improve health can be intimidating, especially when it feels like there's so much to address. I work with clients to find their WIIFM—"What's in it for me" to make some changes. Motivation is boosted once they uncover reasons that resonate with them emotionally, like being a role model for their kids or living a long life with their partner.

Then, like many things in life, breaking change down into baby steps that are realistic and achievable can set the stage for progress.
