Haste Makes Waste
Before you go grocery shopping, take a look at what you already have. Check the refrigerator, freezer, and pantry. You may have enough to make a meal without buying anything new.
That half-used package of pasta. The frozen chicken. The vegetables that need to be used. The can of soup hiding behind everything else. Put them together and make a meal from what you have.
You’ll use up food before it goes to waste, and you may be surprised by how much you can make without another trip to the store.
Today’s Savings Grace Assignment:
Make one meal this week using what you already have at home.
Depending on what you find, you could easily save $5 to $15 on a meal you would have otherwise bought.
And if you do it again next week, those savings start adding up.
