Don't Toss It Yet
Before you throw something away, take another look. You might be getting ready to throw money in the trash.
That old shirt could become a cleaning rag. An unused container might have another use. A piece of furniture might need a small repair instead of a trip to the dump.
Food is another big one. Before tossing leftover bits and pieces, see if you can use them in a soup, casserole, smoothie, or another meal. However, never use anything after 4 or 5 days in the refrigerator, or beyond its “Use by” date.
You don't have to find a use for everything. Just get in the habit of asking, ‘Can I use this?
Your Savings Grace Assignment:
Find one thing you were about to throw away and find another use for it instead.
