Let go of the need to know.
To participate in the "Let it go" event I decided to make a meaningful pledge, but I suspect it may not be easy to stick with.
When I meet new people, I like to learn something significant about them. Not necessarily what makes them tick, but maybe something deeper than what movies they like. So I ask questions relating more to their ideas on things. For some people, I've heard it's off-putting, being that my "victims" feel like they're being put on the spot. So...
I pledge to let go of my need to know everything. I need to learn patience and allow people to reveal themselves when they're ready.
I would say I also need to learn patience with life itself—allowing it to reveal itself, too, when it's ready. Patience isn't easy for me. But then again, without its mystery life may not be quite as fun.
