New Music Video "Faded Away"
Receiving a request from a young woman in 2013 who was going through a break up challenged me to
move out of my song writing comfort zone. Prior to that time I was mostly writing Contemporary
Christian music so I wasn't sure what I would create. As my sister says, an invitation to
write an “achy breaky heart” tune. Taking that risk expanded my song writing and Faded Away was
created.
Many people have been in relationships that did not work out. Hurt and disappointment follows as the
realization sets in, the person “just wasn't into” them.

Whether it's contemporary Christian or achy breaky heart what a beautiful voice.
I can hear the whisper of sadness in your voice.
I can picture a young woman in disbelief struggling with the awareness that "he just didn't care."
Love is precious and sometimes it does fade away and your lyrics told this story beautifully.

Faded Away describes how love can dissipate from one's heart, leaving us bewildered and wondering how such a thing could happen and if we will ever be loved again.
Listening to your song brought to mind all those I was once close to and loved deeply but where over time the bonds of love and friendship dissolved into long gone memories. I think everyone can relate to this beautiful song, whether the fading is happening now or happened in the past.
