"Don't sell my data"
Great news—I’m really pleased to see this new California law take effect. Under the new “Opt Me Out” law (AB 566), web browsers will soon include a built-in setting so consumers can send a single opt-out signal—no more individually editing preferences on every site you visit. Too often we’re forced to dig through menus and hidden links just to tell websites we don’t want our personal data sold. It’s a big step toward making online privacy common sense and user-friendly.

Well Street
For those of us who value our privacy, this is great news, and I hope it goes nationwide.
Websites needn't worry, though. There is no shortage of Americans who don't have privacy protections at the top of their priority list.
Slipstream
This is definitely good news. I've been hoping for something like this. Some websites make it difficult to find the opt out option.
